- Evaluate where you are right now today. This is beginning of new year that’s good! Dont get stuck in “I want to be there not here” mentality, that’s negative. Start writting out areas of progress even in the midst of areas that need work. For example; I’m learning a new teaching method in my Pilates training, I should have been done by now but COVID has slowed the process down so much. What I have not seen are all the extra time I have had a chance to learn more dig deeper and even work on teaching the exercises better and performing them b
etter in my own body.
- Define what matters to you. Good goals are about cultivating what you’ve been given well. Think on good reports, your work, your home, your health your relationships, fun times and travel and your time. A little intentional forethought can go along way. take this time to reflect, ask yourself “What matters most?” You might be sitting on the most open time ever to bring about this change. So for me, Ive started breaking down my teaching and two exercies per day to apply them to myself and learn how to teach them by recording myself. Who would have ever thought. My own body is changing.
- Make a plan, and stick to it. Just do something. Write that plan down, try it for a week. Live intentionally. Keep the plan in front of you, jot down new thoughts that come to mind while trying your plan out. Lots of times, plans evolve. That can be the fun creative place to be. Again for me, miss queen of trying to tackle it all, REALLY two exercises per day. It really is working. Still struggling with “get it done right now” mentality, but TAKING TIME can work wonders!
