AH SUMMER:
Below is the start of my summer fun list. Just makes me feel good all over thinking about them all and taking the time to cherish them.
Sunshine
Get your mornings going and under control. Did you know that sunshine helps boost a chemical in your brain called serotonin, and that can give you more energy and help keep you calm. So get your focus clear for that summer day. Go outside and have cereal with your family or alone. Go for a walk, and listen to sounds of the morning. For me its a take 5-10 meditate/prayer, 3 Pilates exercises done correctly and a short walk. YEA you have hit the start button.
Water/beach
Oh this is a good one. Did you know that your muscles and tendons will work harder, strengthening your feet and ankles. Beach walks will burn more calories than walks on sidewalk. Walking on beachis ideal for those with pain in their knees, back, and hips, as sand puts less stress on the body, making it eaiser on bones and joints. So if available do a walk in early morning sun on the beach, feel the sand, and jump in the water. For me its like hitting the refresh button. If not available check out videos you have made or YouTube, sit outside or walk and pretend while enjoying the morning sun.
Fresh fruit And Vegetables
FRUITS AND VEGETABLES FRESH. Yes by all means. So much fun to go to Farmers Market with family and friends with meal plans and buying what you need to make those famous dishes. Farmers Markets facilitate personal connections and bonds of mutual benefits between farmers, shoppers, and communities. GO FRESH, EAT HEALTHY.
Sunflowers and Daisies
Guest what ?? sunflowers are daisies, the yellow petals are the ray flowers and tasty sunflower seeds are products of disk flowers. Tasty sunflower seeds, you can even add these seeds to your favorite salad. (lettuce you bought at the Farmers Market) What is summer without seeing some daisies and sunflowers. Go on, buy a bunch and put in a vase around the house. Better yet plant some in and around your house, or give away to friends.
Pilates
Don’t forget the Pilates exercise, ROLL UP. This one I am doing on a piece of Pilates equipment called the cadillac using what is called the push through bar. By using the push through bar, this exercise can turn into the Teaser (advanced). Dont go there right now, but just know there are many other exercises the basic rollup prepares you for.
