SPRING could mean many things: Spring as in season, flowers warmer weather, fresh. Spring as in leap or jump forward, Spring as in time time changes. In the 3 variations of spring listed so far the 1 thing they all have in common is sense of something new like change and energy.
SPRING from a Pilates instructor definitely means energy. On the piece of equipment called a Pilates reformer springs mean resistance to work with to gain more strength or power.
3 Ways to find and and use your inner spring>
- Flex Your Inner Strength Muscle. Do something different, outside your comfortable zone. For example take a day off put your “todo” list aside and spring outward. Take a weekend trip, sign up for a new class. Acknowledge being uncomfortable, somewhat anxious and go for it, journel your feelings and see what your spring forward might say.
- Own your Plan or Pitch IT. Really just like that. YEP be free let yourself explore. Be careful you might just like it. For example your buying new foods to explore a new eating idea for yourself or your family. You fix it all up, sit down at the table and everyone hates 2 out of 3 dishes and says”im not doing this to eat healthier” fine you had a plan you will ditch part of it and use the one thing everyone liked a week from now until you find the plan that stays. YEAH
- Flex YOUR OUTER/INNER CORE Muscles. Taking what we have already used from #1 and #2 apply that to joining me in springing forward into learning and exercising your bodies core of muscles. Pilates does a great job at addressing folks in this area using Pilates mat series on into learning the use of the Pilates equipment.
