5 THINGS WE CAN LEARN FROM PILATES TRAINING
Going back to school is much more than just being ready mentally, but also physically. Making sure you have much more than just the pens and papers needed, but the confidence and dexterity to make sure you conquer all short and long term goals. At Balance and Strength, we focus on more than just pilates. We give a person an outlook not only on themselves but on life goals and help develop the determination needed to get you there.
Here are five ways I make sure to stay fit mentally as well as physically:
1. Mindfulness being observant of yourself (feeling rested, muscles relaxed, clarity of mind etc); being
observant of others (are others relaxed or hyper, do they ask about you or are they in their own world?)
2. Breathing Diaphragmatic breathing, breathing deep and into the back. Breathing is one of our
greatest exercise and a most powerful weapon against stress and anxiety.
3, Postural muscles How am I standing, sitting? Am I slouched? Does my back hurt? Take a look at
the type of shoes you have on, the chair your sitting in?
4. Core strength knows how to control, strengthen this area of the body. If at a desk chair exercises are
helpful ( lifting one leg up by low abdominal and maintaining the uprightness through the spine.
Simple but effective!!!!
5. Work some part of the basic 3: Hundred, Roll-up, and Rolling like a ball every day. This is one way to
do a quick tune-up every day!
